Elvis Rattary’s culinary career began early on, inspired by his Jamaican parents and their love and respect for quality and tradition. After 30 years, cooking remains his passion.


Specializing in fine dining and Mediterranean, Portuguese, and international cuisine. Currently, he is the Head Chef at Adega, a European-inspired restaurant that transports diners to the streets of Venice. During his time at Adega, he has combined old recipes and cooking techniques with modern tastes and complementary styles of cooking.

"Amazing, simply amazing. From the outstanding service to the extraordinary food and atmosphere, this is the best meal I have had. My wife mentioned to our server that we like to share, so he suggested that the food be brought out in courses. We started with grilled sardines, perfectly cooked. Next, we had Mediterranean Octopus, tender and delicious, Portuguese seafood stew followed it couldn't have been better. Our server suggested a desert , merengue with a Carmel sauce and fruit. Beautifully presented, it looked like a wrapped present. My wife described the merengue as a cloud. The ingredients in each dish belonged there. They were gloriously composed. Bravo, Adega! I will be talking about this meal for years to come"
